Yankee, Part 2
Yankee (2014) was the album that took Kenshi Yonezu from Vocaloid producer to singer in his own name. This set covers the back half of the record, from the rain-soaked "Hanani Arashi" through the shouted nonsense of "Shitodo Seiten Daimeiwaku" to his own vocal of "Doughnut Hole". The words are the ordinary ones the stories run on: weather and apologies, living and throwing things away, remembering and not sleeping.
