About these sets

Red Diary Page.1. Red Diary Page.1 (2017) pairs the bubbly hit known in English as Some — about deciding to start flirting with someone — with To My Youth, a quiet letter to a teenage self who wanted to disappear. In between are songs about being moody, worn out and waiting by the door. The set mixes current dating slang with the plain words Koreans use for being tired, fussy, bored and afraid.

RED PLANET, Part 2. The second half of RED PLANET (2016) runs from a bittersweet crush compared to chocolate, through a freesia kept as a promise, to a breakup remembered too late and a ring handed back. The songs are small and conversational, so the words are ones you can use straight away: tastes, flowers, facial expressions, and a cluster of adverbs that only appear with "can't". The closing track is about falling in love despite your own warnings.

RED PLANET, Part 1. RED PLANET (2016) is BOL4's first full album, and its opening track — known in English as Galaxy — is the song that made the duo famous. This first half moves from starry-eyed crushes to a couple's fight, a jealous sulk and a one-sided breakup. The vocabulary is the language of young love: fluttering, teasing, being stubborn, and not being able to bear it.
