LILAC, Part 1

LILAC (2021) was IU's goodbye to her twenties, and the title track waves off a spring romance with gratitude rather than grief. This first half runs from that brightness through the lovesick fever of Flu and the all-in bravado of Coin to the gentle 봄 안녕 봄 and the pre-release single Celebrity. Useful vocabulary for farewells, for describing symptoms, and for encouraging someone who feels out of place.
