IM HERO, Part 1
IM HERO (2022) is Lim Young Woong's first full-length album, and its first half runs from a ballad about wanting to meet a lost love again, through a tribute to an ageing father, to a rap-tinged break-up track. The vocabulary here is the language of regret, comfort and promise: sighing, holding out, getting worn down, consoling someone. A lighter road-trip song adds everyday words for packing a bag and getting out of the city.
