Love Story
ラブストーリー (2014). Setagaya Love Story is a man walking a woman to the station and failing to ask her to stay, which makes it a compact commuter-Japanese lesson - 終電, 改札, 各駅停車, 呼び止める - while Tsunaida Te kara supplies the vocabulary of the excuse: 口実, 言い訳, 卑怯.

| 澄み切る | to be perfectly clear (すみきる) | 澄み切った青空が広がる。A perfectly clear blue sky stretches out. |
| 偽物 | a fake, a counterfeit (にせもの) | その絵は偽物だと判明した。The painting turned out to be a fake. |
| 旧道 | an old road, the former route (きゅうどう) | 旧道沿いに古い宿場町が残る。An old post town remains along the old road. |

| 呼び止める | to call someone to stop (よびとめる) | 駅で知人に呼び止められた。An acquaintance called out to me at the station. |
| 各駅停車 | a local train stopping at every station (かくえきていしゃ) | 各駅停車でのんびり帰った。I took the local train home at a leisurely pace. |
| 見渡す | to look out over, to survey (みわたす) | ホームから線路を見渡した。I looked out over the tracks from the platform. |
| くちびる | lips | 寒さでくちびるが乾いた。My lips are dry from the cold. |
| 縛る | to tie, to bind, to restrict (しばる) | 規則で縛るだけでは動かない。People don't move if you only bind them with rules. |
| 振り返る | to look back, to turn round (ふりかえる) | 名前を呼ばれて振り返った。I turned round when my name was called. |
