SKOOL LUV AFFAIR
Released in February 2014, Skool Luv Affair is the middle chapter of BTS's school trilogy, the point where the group turned from classroom anger toward first love and its awkwardness. The songs swing between blunt flirting (상남자), quiet longing (하루만), a satire of teenagers pressuring their parents into buying luxury padded jackets (등골브레이커), and a slow, honest song about being stuck between adolescence and adulthood (Tomorrow). The vocabulary here is the everyday Korean of confessing feelings, asking someone's name and age, talking about money and trends, and encouraging someone not to give up.
