OST Singles

In late 2023 NewJeans recorded two drama soundtracks back to back, and both are almost entirely in Korean — a rarity in a catalogue built on code-switching, which makes them the richest Korean in the group's work. 아름다운 구속, for A Time Called You, is a cover of Kim Jong-seo's 1996 hit, and its register is markedly older and more literary: prayer, dread, being changed by love, the beautiful constraint of the title. 우리의 밤은 당신의 낮보다 아름답다, for My Demon, answers it with steadier language — protecting someone's night, the fear held in their eyes, a promise about every morning to come.
