Savage

Savage is aespa's first mini album, released in October 2021, and it pushes the group's confrontational side to the front. The title track and "I'll Make You Cry" are built on words for illusion, shame and revenge, while "YEPPI YEPPI" and "ICONIC" turn to self-assured vocabulary about beauty, instinct and shining. The closer "자각몽 (Lucid Dream)" softens everything into the language of fog, wandering and whispering, and the intro "aenergy" adds a few sharp predator words.
